My bad luck this morning.

So, for Christmas I got to go to Gamestop and buy myself a Wii U. :):) I bought a Wii U and a 64 GB SDXC card. I found out, while trying to hack vWii mode, that the Wii cannot read those cards. I went to go use one of my old SD cards. To backup the data of the old SD card, I used an SD to micro SD adapter(yes, that's a thing) and it corrupted my data. This data had my Gamecube games and save files, Wii save files, NSMBW custom levels, and more.

The Wii U is on 5.4.0 by the way, I hope the IOSU exploit comes soon.

SDXC cards are formatted to ExFat by default. vWii only recognizes FAT16 and FAT32 (preferably FAT32), so you have to first format the card to one of those types first.

By the way, I'm back on the Temp now. The reason I left was because I threw a wobbly in a certain thread and the situation was pissing me off, so I left for a day and a half...

Man, I hate being autistic sometimes. :/

I got around £235 for Christmas! Time to get a N3DS XL during Boxing Day, tomorrow! :ha:

I'm assuming it'll be out for the new year. I can't see it getting released ASAP, but you never really know...

Yeah.
I just want a backup loader, I can't afford Wii U games(I have MK8 and play HTML5 games on the web browser) :D

I WAS on 5.3.2, and I was refusing to update because the kexploit was just being announced at that particular time. But I was sooooo desperate to update and continue playing Splatoon (even vWii was preventing my WiiU from getting updated because of broken vIOSes), I gave in, fixed vWii and stupidly updated to 5.4.0, then to 5.5.0... and look at today's kexploitz! It's got a FUCKING SPOOFER I COULD'VE USED!!! :ohnoes:

That's what happened with me and the 3DS. When Ninjhax came out I was on 9.2, but I updated. Now look at me :(

I will not update ever again.

I also did the exact same thing with my N3DS. I knew, as I was going back home from buying it, that it was on 9.0. But I doubted myself that I would ever be able to get Cubic Ninja. The worst is that I HAD to do a system update because I needed to transfer my O3DS XL stuff to my new N3DS. I then had to sell that O3DS XL afterwards because I was owing money to my parents from the N3DS (we strook a deal that I'd sell the O3DS for the money I was never able to get because of the need to transfer)

Is there even an advantage to being on 5.4 rather than 5.5? (not that I would update)

I think 5.5 patches a couple of things it missed in 5.4. But with the new IOSU exploit coming up for both FWs, I don't see any reason not to update...

Oh, the 5.5 FW rids of the TVii icon, too.
