My 100% Solderless GAMEBOY COLOR XL (Prototype Unit #01) Is completed!!! (Pics inside!)

It of course plays Gameboy and Gameboy Color, but it also does Gameboy Advance, NES, SNES, PS1, DOOM, Kodi, Nintendo DS, and I use the Sega CD as a glorified CD Player (It will read .cue and .bin audio CDs just fine).

Parts List:

Raspberry Pi 3 computer: $35.00
7" 1024x600 IPS HDMI LCD: $42.77
8GB microSD card: $2.00
Chinese USB SNES Controller: $3.26
USB-powered Goodwill Speakers: $5.00
USB Audio card: $4.12
DROK USB power tester: $12.96
6-cell dual-USB power bank: Paid $20 (Discounted from $60)
Hot Glue: $5.97
Elmer's Foam board $1.77
X-ACTO knife: $2.97
Photoshop skills, for that sweet "from-scratch" splash screen: $0.00
----------------------------------------------------
GRAND TOTAL: $122.86

Total hours invested: 77 hours in total, off and on. Most of my time was spent tweaking the software, and shopping for USB-powered products. I put it all together in one 11 hour sitting. My neck hurts, and I'm going to bed. Enjoy the pictures.

Oh well now you do xD its a whole month all features usable. @migles and no i am not Sonic Angel Knight xD jusr same picture.

Also, another thing... How in the hell do you reach the buttons? :wtf:
Unless you have some kind of alien thumbs...

You were so preoccupied with whether you could make this, that you didn't stop to think if you should make this.

I mean kudos on making something, but this doesn't look like something anyone would ever actually play, I mean how are you even supposed to hold it and reach those buttons??

I guess the consensus is in: bluetooth-enabled controllers. It would let you save space, give the ability to use a variety of controllers, access L+R buttons (and other buttons), and open the possibility of 2P/4P.

I don't think you know what yaoi means...

Anyways, this would be a lot better if you put it in a proper case and actually soldered things together to make it all flush. I have some experience with things like this, so I might be able to help you out a little.

When saying 100% solderless, I was expecting a bunch of stuff on shit loads of breadboards. This is by far not 100% solderless.
