Mental monsters

Mental monsters, them to you fake,
Real to me, like water in a lake.
Pulling me down, so I can drown.
Scratching Chalk on Blackboard.
around that building, there they stalk.
under the bench, behind me when I walk.
I can smell their stench, rotting dead dreams.
Your hand I clench, my mind tears at seams.

Untying, While slowly dying, my mind trying.
to fight them off, Water overhead, a sight I dread.
You're like a life vest, and I'm holding onto you.
the monsters here are more than few, but you already knew.

turning around, because I was swimming down,
in a flash, anxiety attack's.
that evil monstrosity, goes to lash.
out on me, bring me down, even in water I heard sound.

"Get out, You can do it"
so I admit, and I bit into it.
It's scream, pain and agony.
so I go back up, and I'm in the sea.

So this one was different, it's a poetic story, that I finished up instead of school.
