Memory Pit: A new DSi Exploit

This is old. update go to the front page

Memory Pit is a new DSi exploit by shutterbug2000. It was released just over two hours ago at the time of this blog post and I have installed it. I am a day one Memory Pit user. This exploit is way more simple than Flipnote Lenny.

Flipnote Lenny:
1. open flipnote studio
2. click view flipnote
3. click sd card
4. open up the flipnote with your region underneath it
5. copy the frame
6. go to the big lenny
7. paste the frame
8. hbmenu

Memory Pit:
1. open dsi camera
2. click sd card
3. click album
4. hbmenu

See how simple it is. In about an hour I had a nand backup with sdnand installed. Every DSi is done. This potentially means no FailZone. Memory Pit was known as PhotoBomb in it's 1 hour testing period between 9:07am and 10:16am (In British Summer Time) on the 27th of May. I knew DSi Camera could be exploited. I just thought when it would happen. Well, five months later, look who shows up.

If you want an easy install, use Memory Pit (also if you are reading this and are managing dsi.cfw.guide, please update your guide for Memory Pit)

The DS/DSi scene is evolving fast with a new NTR savegame exploit for The New York Times Crossword NDS game called BreakingNews (originally NYTCrossHaxx) but only 2 days later Memory Pit (originally PhotoBomb during it's testing phase) comes out.

@everyone After a short testing period, Memory Pit (named after the file used to exploit the system) is ready! Using it is very simple
1) Download this file and put it in sd:/private/ds/app/484E494A
2) Put the hbmenu.nds file on the root named boot.nds (can't be unlaunch, it won't work. Unlaunch can be booted via hbmenu however)
3) open DSi camera, tap SD card at the top, and tap album
4) Done!
Enjoy modding your DSi!

Awesome news QRay!

Can't wait to download the pit.bin and mess around : )

I'm looking for a potential way to 'flash' a Chinese/Japanese character Nintendo DSi menu system into English. Is there any exploit (or is this exploit at all able to do such things) for modifying the region or language coding on the device? Have a personal DSi that I am going to use pit.bin on, and have 3 additional units I bought for my children on a business trip for a fraction of the cost of a Switch : )

All came with SD cards

Gaming on a budget

Thanks ahead of time
