While waiting for Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 to get done downloading all 43 episodes, and cause I got to stay home today (sick), I decided to restart watching Medabots or known as Medarot in Japan. I mainly wanted to rewatch it since the new game for the Nintendo DS is coming out in 2010 (?).
Even though Medabots doesn't have the greatest animation (I mean, the animation REALLY sucks), it was still a good watch back in early 2000s. It was also REALLY hilarious to me. Especially Medabee since he is one of the two center characters throughout the whole anime. Also, what I did not know was that there was a Season 3. So again, this gives me another chance to go back to my roots. Metabots was one of the first anime shows I actually watched and really enjoyed.
For those of you who don't know what Medabots is, Medabots is an anime which aired in Japan in early 2000 and lasted 3 seasons, ending its airing in 2004.
Not only has it spawned anime series but also has some games. The first one coming out in 1997 for the Gameboy. It also has 2 games for the GameBoy Advance and a Gamecube game. They're reviving the series (I think) with a new DS game titled Medarot DS. I'm highly stoked for this game since I enjoyed the GBA games so I don't think I'll have a problem enjoying it.
As of right now, I'm watching Medabots Episode 4 "The Legendary Medafighter". I hope to finish the series, all 3 seasons, by next week but with school that probably won't happen. We'll see how it goes.

It stars Ikki Tenryou, a grade school (Junior High?) student who doesn't own a Medabot (which is on the rage in Japan in the 22nd Century). But after finding a medal in a river, he manages to buy a model, which is named Metabee (which is a pun on his name, since he is a Metal Beetle). However, the medal he found appears to be defective, as Metabee is stubborn and disobedient. In spite of this, a strong bond grows between them after several robattles. Though Ikki is not a full-fledged Medafighter, he gradually matures through the Robattles he engages in.
