Life is a game

So a while ago I posted a blog on life kinda in general.
Since then (though it wasn't all that long ago) I've acquired some new knowledge.
I've essentially got the same sense of right and wrong.
I've also got essentially the same morals on how to act on what's right and wrong.
But in different environments they have different outcomes.
I've hardly been happier than I am right now.
This happiness is pretty much brought about because I'm a terrible person.
If karma were real, I'd essentially be fucked.
But luckily for me, it isn't.
That's not my point exactly right now.
I guess my point is that life is a game.
Seriously, I've only got one life.
(For all I know)
I've not done much with it, but I've got some decent stories.
Now, we're all on this forum because we like games, right?
I've always loved games.
Ever since I picked up Outlaws I've been hooked.
Games work in many ways.
A lot of the times, games are more fun to play with friends.
Sometimes a good single player game is what you need.
Other times a bunch of strangers are better.
Sometimes you need just one other person there with you.
But we don't have to just talk about live as who you play with.
Games are there for many purposes, but in the end, it's to win.
Now, you can't exactly win life.
(Well, you can win the board game)
But you've gotta get points or something for happiness.
And it's a lot about strategy.
Life is the most strategic game you'll ever play.
It's got a hell of a lot to do with manipulation as well.
The sooner you learn how to understand your opponents in this game the better off you'll be.
That's what life is, after all.
It's about manipulating situations, people, your environment to your liking.
There are hardly rules.
Essentially the unwritten rules that are in place are morals.
(I guess they're written in some cases)
But if you don't follow those rules, life becomes much more fun.
Now sure, there are a lot of exceptions.
This is where you factor in stupidity.
Some morals are in place to prevent catastrophic events from happening due to stupid decisions.
Other morals are there for protection of other people, perhaps your own self in the emotional sense.
Without the second set of morals one may argue that it's more dangerous.
But I call it fun.
Who doesn't like a challenge?
Who doesn't keep secrets?
Who doesn't hurt other people at times?
Now I don't try to hurt people.
In fact, that's the last thing I want to do.
That's where the beauty of it is.
It's all about figuring out the right path.
Sometimes there are more than one,
Sometimes there are multiple paths and only one is right.
Otherwise you'll end up hurting someone.
It's really all about manipulation and strategy.
And it's gotta be the most fun game you can play if you so choose.
Now, this may sound like I'm a terrible person,
but hey,
I'm just trying to enjoy life.
And I'm pretty much winning right now.

Other words of wisdom.
When life's getting you down.
When the environment around you forces you to conform in ways you don't like.
First, take a step back, and tell yourself "Just whatever"
If you can say that, and the situation was all just you exaggerating, you'll be all good.
If not, there's a way out of everything.
(Well, unless it's jail or something serious, then perhaps you did something stupid)
But the remedy for breaking the second set of morals is essentially as I just said.
Good luck with your lives, 'tempers.

Where have I seen/heard this title... I know it used to be my MSN text for a long while, and wasnt it something like "Life is a game, just learn how to play it"? Anyway, Good for you! Enjoying life is kinda hard thing to do... atleast for me..

What if life is a single player game with everyone else being AI. You are exposed to so much bias thoughts that it has very heavily influenced you to believe in certain ways. If you never heard of associated to anything of pokemon in your life, then has pokemon really existed with respect to you?

Exactly!!!

Bob Marley's song "Three Little Birds" is a nice perfect song that explains to chill out. xD

But yes, just say "whatever" and keep on living life. ^.6'

Life is a game with no rules..

Everyone loses the game sooner or later, so it's not about winning, just enjoying the game.

I've believed that for a long time..

Nice post! Cheers.

It's more like a shitty minigame collection.

Sure, the box art looks nice, and it seems like there's a bunch of games in one, but it's really just the same thing over and over. You can win and you can lose, but either way it's still shit.

Speaking of meatballs, what's the deal with meatball sandwich? How can people eat those? It's ROUND. Trying to bite those in a sandwich is a challenge. It's easier to eat a burger stacked with toppings. :ninja:
