My laptop speakers are probably dying; I usually have it hooked to an old Sony Bravia TV, since that provides better audio than this laptop ever did and serves as a second screen, whenever I need it.
Well, today, when I wanted to play on my Switch I had to change the HDMI 'channel', reverting laptop audio output to itself - and when I tried to play audio, it came out as staticky. I could still hear what was meant to be playing, but it was overlaid by awful static noise.
Overheating issues, from when I was playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided over the past week? Laptop didn't crash, but the fans were definitely roaring. If it's not that, then I don't know the cause.
