Kinda disappointed with PS3 players on GBAtemp

People in general don't use the PS3 for online as much.
The 360 basically dominates that sector because of how superior its online service is.

The way I see it, if the PS3 plays online games just fine, it's as good as the 360's. If however the PS3 was constant disconnect and connection failures, then sure. But the odd time I played online to try out Uncharted 2 online, nothing was wrong and it worked just fine. I think Xbox Live is just getting the love it gets because people think it's better.

It's not that the connection is better, it's just the 360 has a hell of a lot more features and community built around online play. The PS3 is largly a singleplayer console, despite having plenty of online games. The PS3 never really focuses or pushes its online, whereas the 360 is essentially built around it.

Having tried both, I can definitely say the 360 online experience IS much, much better, and that's partially due to the fact that it's just a hell of a lot larger and more active.
The only real exception i've see is Dark Souls. PS3 was more active since it had more Souls fans on it, obviously because of Demon's Souls being PS3 exclusive.

my PSN is mahfuzuddin. Add me and go through my profile via compare trophies to see what games I have. I'm also up some Uncharted 3 action. And I've got a mic. We can also talk over skype as well

I have a PS3 but no real multiplayer games. The only one I have you listed is Scott Pilgrim. I have Portal 2, Lost Planet 2, Uncharted 2 and LittleBigPlanet GOTY, but I hardly ever play online. Lost Planet co-op story is kinda fun but I always get disconnect errors.

i play anything fighting or co-op but keep in mind through i'm a DLC person only i don't buy disk anymore...

i should post a list of games i have somewhere maybe...

If I had my ps3 with me I would give you a go on uncharted or something but as of now it is waiting for me in the states. give me a month or 2 and i should be moving out there and i'll give you a few games on something

Also theres tons of stuff to play online with a 360. Also you get what you pay for. In my experience, the PSN internet connection and stuff is pretty bad.

How is it bad exactly? Also, like I said, not even the Nintendo players on here really play online together (at least from what I seen). Aside from the few that play Mario Kart.

Okay I will. I wanna try and go through Uncharted 2 on hard and get the treasures first. But if I ever feel like not playing, I'll give you a shout.

I don't own a PS3 but I often go to my cousins to play MW3 and I have to say playing MW3 on Xbox is a way better experience. The worst thing about the ps3 online quality is the voice chatting, it sounds like everyone is on speaker phone or chatting over a cheap CB.

You can blame that on a few things:

-The person has a shit headphone set.
-The person doesn't have the microphone set properly or they're not speaking good enough.
-There's background noise on their end.

There's multiple reasons why that would happen.

I agree with this.
I rarely play online with my ps3, because as OP said no one is ever really on (except for games like COD).
But on Xbox I can party chat with my friends so I don't have to listen to all the "gamer" girls and prepubescent children who think they are the shit.
It gets really annoying when you have to mute everyone.

The only reason why I really like PSN is because its free.

I don't usually go to the PS3 forum despite playing my PS3 daily.

But if you ever want to play a good game with me, I'm up for it
