Yes, yes, I saw that comic too. And the Wii U will still have motion controls in addition to awesome graphics so I don't see the problem.

What's not fair about that?

I mean, oh-so-high-and-mighty Sony and MS going all "motion-control = gimmick" then scrambling to copy it after they get their asses totally beaten to a pulp is fair?

Anyway, seeing as they did copy Nintendo, then that only proves the whole motion-control is the future was right to some extent. What, you want an escalation war of "I got better motion-control" trolling instead?

Sony doesn't care about motion control, the Move is there but optional.

Implying Nintendo cares what everyone thinks of their non-3D graphics... It's the burden of announcing your console first, when people say "meh. their graphics are gonna be beat by [insert supposed next-gen console's name here]."

It has to be giant to fit the giant touch screen.

Nintendo have said themselves the Wii U will be the same as the PS3.

I'll laugh if they other consoles (ps720) aren't even that much stronger or actually somehow at the same power.

If they didn't care, they wouldn't have made it in the first place. They won't have took such time with a game in e3.

Besides Wii u sounds like it going to be a really flexible console.

why can't they just keep it simple and have a normal gaming controller that transforms into a touchscreen?

Because fanboys love to say how their console is so unique because it does this or that. Although if they did introduce a normal controller I'm sure that people would be "WOW NINTENDO IS RETURNING TO ITS ROOTS".

I'd like to state that the Move does have some currently good or future good titles coming out for it. Kinect on the other hand, outside of like Child of Eden, I think everything else looks like shit.

If their offering PS360 third party games than they don't have much choice.

Maybe to you,but the wii is certain gen and wii u is next gen to me.

Also, to the point... There's no denying that the Wii, whatever your personal opinions of it might be, is indeed THE current-gen console for Nintendo. The WiiU, for all intents and purposes [speculation aside] will be their next-gen console.

Also, apparently, Sony and MS set the standard for what a "current-gen" console is... Or at least your post has such overtones.

Generations aren't really defined by their tech but their time frame. The Wii was a Gamecube successor just like the Xbox 360 and PS3 were to the Xbox and PS2 respectively. Technically that puts the Wii in the same generation as the Xbox 360 and PS3, despite large differences in tech and features. The Wii is succeeded by the WiiU, which puts the WiiU in the next generation.

The Dreamcast is still considered in the same generation as the Gamecube/Xbox/PS2 but there's still a pretty large difference in tech and release times.

That may be 'cause the Wii is under the PS3 and 360, so the fact that the Wii U is to be compared to PS360 makes it look 'curent gen'.

Yes, it is.
