Why am I frowning in the photo? Because my dad was trying to figure out how to take photos with my 3DS, and my breasts are bound for this photo. (Makes me look like I'm a guy who has man boobs, but it still looks decent - I think.)
The mask was built over a couple of days - cardboard base, cardboard buttons (my red paint was really thin from another application), aluminum foil spread over the base, and hot glued on. The worse part was dealing with the runny black paint for aging the foil base.
The fake headphones are a busted headset with capsule toy packaging hot glued in. It was impossible to paint over - very glossy plastic, but I used a mix of white glue and black paint to get it to stick. I used about four coats before it was finished.
Everything is recycled from geeky junk - the mask is packaging from pizza pockets, speaker packaging, and aluminum foil. The phones were a capsule toy that I bought for my cousin - a mini ninja thing!
Wearing it sucked - the mask was too heavy for spirit gum, and I ended up using double sided foam tape. OW!
