Jayro's Gameboy Test Cartridge v1.11 has just released! (MAJOR UPDATE!)

Title Screen.gif

I've been busy as hell trying to fix the Button Test's bug, and I've finally fixed it. You can now press all the buttons at once. This is a HUGE win!
I also overhauled the startup sequence, changed the title screen a bit, and turned the useless and boring "Test Grid" into a colorful rainbow maze for testing the Dpad. It's called "Dpad Maze". (Real original, eh?) I know the name is stupid, but I'm limited on character length in the menu. I also brightened up the menu colors a tiny bit, as some of them were a bit dark. The Sound Test menu and the Button Test menu were most notably dark. The Pixel Repair menu got a redesign too, with a new logo for stuck pixels, and a soft light gray background.

And as always, it can be downloaded HERE completely free of charge.

It's my first-ever project with GB Studio, and it has taught me SO MUCH! It's nice to be able to refine parts of it to work more efficiently, learn new graphical/sprite/animation tricks to accomplish what I want, etc. My next trick will be making songs! :D (Not for this project, but a separate project)

It's amazing how you've improved your skills using GB Studio. And even better when you're able to see what you should change and make it better. I really enjoy GB stuff and I can say I'm a huge fan of your work. :D

Can't wait to see your next project! ^_^

Thanks, GB Studio has been really fun for me. I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I'd be able to develop Gameboy software without touching a single line of code, but here we are!

I never tried to use GB Studio, but I'm really curious about knowing how it works. It looks very intuitive, I just didn't have the time to spend on it.

Since you don't need to know how to code, do you think a noob like me would be able to start a project using GB Studio? I know nothing about programming.

Yes, as I don't know anything about programming either. I spend almost an equal amount of time in Photoshop as I do in GB Studio, just drawing the graphics. This was the first project I ever started in GB Studio, and it's been amazing so far. I've refined it with new tricks I've learned along the way. There are YouTube tutorials and a Discord server with many helpful people.
