It's almost been a year since my brother Andrew has passed away.

In his honor, I set up his old N64 in my spare bedroom. It's like a significant part of him is still here with me. It warms my heart having this little machine up and running after 20 years.

Back in 2005, I got his permission to overclock it to 125MHz, and did an LED swap to green. Sure smoothed out the choppiness in games like Goldeneye, Rush 2049, and Perfect Dark!

Sorry to hear about this and especially the crap year we've had with covid etc. It'll be almost a year for me aswel. My dad died last April of organ failure.. He had problems for weeks but with the UK lockdown etc he didn't want to bother the doctors by phoning up :sad:

@CloudStrife190100 Dam bro, that's equally rough. I haven't personally lost anyone due to COVID, thankfully... But I fear my grandpa will be next just due to his old age, especially since my grandma died April in 2019 to cancer + head injury. The head injury accelerated the cancer, and she didn't make it. Thankfully I was fortunate enough to see her once last time in 2018. I knew it would be my last, too. My grandparents live(d) in SoCAL, and we live in NW Oregon and SW Washington. For some reason, the last Sunday of February, I hugged my brother deeply and with meaning that Sunday dinner, I just felt like I should... and I'm glad I did... It's helped give me a fair bit of closure, just like when I got to see my grandma for the last time. I consider myself extremely lucky in that regard.
