Hello der, well it has been a month so lets go through this only once, lol
February has been a weird month, in personal things i lost and regained my job within a week after calling out my boss over his piss poor organization and ended up telling him to fuck off, but after a week of him trying to replace me with some Mexican dude and his own son, he decided to come back to me, good or bad thing you can decide for yourself, lol.
Short of that we had an incident with the dog, she managed to pull out one of her nails which began to look like it was infected so taking her into the vet we are given anti-bio-tics to give her which after a week appear to have done nothing for her. We are then told that the dog has a tumor in her toe which may involve in either the nail having to be removed or at the extreme, the whole toe. Luckily for us we get a call the next day after the vet has looked at the statistics of the dog and it is discovered the dog is diabetic and that is the reason why her toe may not be recovering, so we now have to administer a shot into her twice a day, she is up and running like a pup again.
Short of that I helped the brother in law record a YouTube video for his "YouTube" career. Looking back on it the video is fucking horrible but I will shift the blame to him because he couldn't give a shit about it. Still I won't link it here because I recall there being some weird rule about not advertising sites here or something? lol
So gaming side of things, I have had a healthy dose of Mario Kart 8 online with Terenigma and SicklyBoy, some good laughs and races there. While discussing online games I also ended up getting Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS, it is my first attempt to get into the series and so far I am enjoying it, it has started to let go of me in terms of hand-holding and has gone into arse fucking territory for me, lol. I need to man up a bit more and get better at it but it is one of those games I tend to find when I want to settle down and play it the wife decides she wants to do something so while i'm in the middle of a hunt online I am suddenly expected elsewhere, lol
Bringing the wife into this, me and her played Kings Quest 2 this month in the ever going attempt to go through all the Kings Quests games before the new one launches and it was actually refreshing to find that the second game still holds up pretty good. There was quite a few problems with the game that actually made me laugh like when trying to cross a bridge and Graham deciding to walk off the edge of a cliff instead of going on the bridge, lol.
You may recall last month I was talking about getting a GameCube adapter for the Wii U, well I ended up getting a Mayflash Adapter which has worked out perfectly for my needs, having changed a driver around here and there I managed to get it to work naively on Dolphin. I haven't actually changed the switch on the adpater to pc mode funnily enough so haven't tried it with other games or emu's so maybe next month? guess we will see, lol. I even got a Smash GameCube controllerand that fresh feeling of a new pad, damn, it was nice being able to put my hands on a fresh GameCube after 15 or so years. One of the few games I tested the pad with was Animal Crossing, lol. The game my wife has always wanted me to try I finally did again after 10 or so years and what can I say? I actually enjoyed it. It is a simple enough game and repetitive as fuck but for a simple half hour doss a day, I think I could get into more.
Transitioning into control pads, I made the switch from the Xinput Wrapper for the Dual Shock 4, to DS4Windows, which I haven't regretted one bit. Not only can I have mouse control using the touch pad but I have been able to move the Start and Select button (or Share and Option buttons in this case) to the left and right touch pad buttons making them so much easier to access while playing games.
So my sister this month decided to send me a copy of Fantasy Life for the 3DS, now despite the game being from a different region it gave me a great reason to test out RegionThree by Smea. Despite some voodoo of having to use the Download Play function of the 3DS to run the game it was actually quite a delight to see the game actually boot up in-front of me. The wife has been playing on it a hell of a lot more than I have and she appears to be loving the game, it just kinda sucks that Street Pass doesn't seem to work while RegionThree is being used and that if you hit the home button the whole system will lock up.
Anyhow, during my monthly travels to second hand stores and such I have ended up getting this month with...
Mario Kart DS
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
Dead or Alive Ultimate
Sim City (Snes)
Tetris (Nes)
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GameCube)
New Super Mario Bros
Right that is probably as much as is worth sharing with you guys for now, till next time.
