No, seriously I totally agree with you guys, when I joined there were a lot of idiots but it was manageable, now though, especially these past few weeks people have just let loose and shown there inner stupidity, as you say it may be caused by the change at a certain warez site, maybe we can sit it out and see if it all blows over, like with the release of a big game ( HG/SS era anyone ? ). Hopefully Gbatemp will get back to its usual self within the next couple of days/weeks

and for the stupid people out there, the 2010 point was a joke

No, we were complaining about the staggering increase of stupidity since last year.


I remember in 2007, when all the members had some sort of intelligence. There were so many great members back then. Now, it's full of people who think cod invented FPS, and people who believe cod4 made scopes on snipers mainstream.

Even until last year, everything wasn't at this level. There will always be idiots on forums. It's not like I want a perfect forum, because it's obviously impossible. Now, this place is crowded with overwhelming number of idiots and 10 year olds

That's because it's becoming way too easy for users to pirate. Pretty much anyone can drag and drop a file onto a microSD card, they do it all the time with their stolen music from Limewire. When they run into a simple problem, they come here.

In the yesteryears, when the R4 and all that good stuff was still popular, not many knew about it (R4 practically mainstreamed it though). It's just another thing to blame the R4 on.

Not necessarily. If there's a simple question that can be answered with one word then you shouldn't have to waste words on it.

maybe close registration when a big game is about to come out? it seems like 90% of the time its someone saying "mario galaxy 2 wont load help pllzzz" or "where do i get new pokeemonzz"

closing registration right before until a few weeks after would solve alot of this

edit: another idea would be 10 day waiting period for joining so they would say screw this and post somewhere else
