In a Guitar Hero Tournament...

So there's this Guitar Hero tournament (Probably GH3...It was GH2 last year) at my school's Homecoming Carnival, and I already signed up. I can play most songs on Hard, and a few on Expert. You get more points that go towards you winning by playing on higher difficulities (Easy is 4 points per song, Medium = 6, Hard = 8, Expert = 10), and the higher the percentage of notes hit, the more points you get (100% = 10 points, 90-99% = 9 points, 80-89% = 8 points, and the rest follows that pattern). The main reason I posted this is to see if anyone could give me some tips to do better. I'd LOVE to be able to play TTFAF on Hard by this Friday (That's when the tournament is). That may sound like a noobish request, but I don't play GH that much, nor did I when I got it. Also, if you come dressed as a rock star, you get 1 to 10 points based on how good it is...Any ideas of who/what to look like?

And since I'm posting this new blog entry, I figured I might as well type about other stuff in my life. First thing is WiiGator's backup loader. I LOVE IT! All the games I've tried have worked fine, and I'm downloading Mario Super Sluggers, which I've been dying to play. Second is music...I find myself listening to only The Devil Wears Prada songs (My favorite is HTML Rulez D00d, it's just awesome). And lastly, I'm a little angry, because my Call of Duty 4 (PC) profile got erased somehow. Oh well, I think it'll be fun to start over again. I was only level 46 (Well, that's pretty close to 55, and I wasn't planning on going to Prestige).

I wish my school had a Guitar Hero tournament. ಥ_ಥ

Anyways, Guitar Hero is a matter of visualization and pattern recognition. Play the song on all songs on different speeds, and get a feel for the notes of each song. A good song to practice visualization and pattern recognition is "My Name is Jonas" (expert) because of the repetitive notes and a lot of them are hammer ons/pull offs.

If you wanna dress like a rocker go naked with only a tube sock (red hot chili pepper style).

if only my school had a guitar hero tournament, i would pwn EVERYONE.
Heres some tips with every song.
Strum to the beat, it helped me win 3's and 7's on expert.
Hyper speed, im not sure if you use it but if you dont, try it out, go from 1 - 5 and see if you do better on any, i use 2.
For songs individually, i will just say to practice the part you lose, and work your way up.
