I'm not dead (Despite popular belief)

Well it sure has been a good while since I've visited this site (Well 5 months isn't incredibly long, but for how active I was before I left it is.) Initially, I had left because I wanted to take a complete break from the internet over the summer. I knew that it would be quite hard for me to find another time in my life where I can basically fully disconnect from everything and just live without the internet, so I decided to do it. The reason why I wanted to disconnect is because I was starting to check social media a bit too often, plus it just seemed neat.

The first few weeks were a small challenge, just instinctively feeling like I'm forgetting something or missing something online, but once June rolled around, I was feeling better than ever. There were certainly a few things that I missed, like keeping up with what's going on in Linux news, but it wasn't too big of an issue. June was also when I realised I have a lot of free time that I just spend sitting around, and so I decided to get a 1 month gym membership and see what it was like. At first I felt very out of place, being a twig in a group of people that actually had a measureable muscle mass, but after awhile I got used to it and now I've slotted it into my daily routine.

Sadly, school did come back around and it's basically impossible to get through college without using a computer. But despite that, I haven't felt any urge whatsoever to visit any sort of social media. Heck, I only remembered that this place exists about 4 days ago. (Not because it's boring around here. Just because I generally suck at remembering sites that I like.) So I dug up my old password and decided to see what has all changed since I've left. Which is not much, but that's fine in my book. Not too much really needed to change. What was more exciting than that, though, was strolling through memory lane and seeing how stupid 16-18 year-old me was. I went and read through some old DMs I had with people that had some sort of errors with either their Wii or 3DS. Some of it is actually good information, but some of it is a little... questionable, to say the least. I followed that up with rereading my old post history, which was at times very *very* cringy. Other times it was fine. And once or twice it got a chuckle out of me. I guess if you throw enough crap at the wall something will eventually stick, right?

Well to rap this whole mess of text up, I guess I can say I'm happy to be back. After I finish reading this I plan on reading through KleinesSinchen's blog posts that I missed, as those are always a great time, no matter what the topic is. Maybe see what's up with Chary's dad. And just generally enjoy my time back here. Also, congrats on 20 years GBAtemp. Here's to atleast 20 more.ff

Greetings from me, a complete stranger, but I read your posting, and nice you have kinda a trip to your inner self with your digital detox, it is a good thing to do once in a while.

I just can't do what you did, witch is revisiting old messages. I take the life as it is just from now on. What is done is done, I don't like looking back (or I do have fear or whatever about it).
