Well, after talking it over with my one friend, we are starting a band. The name of the band is Drowning the Apparatus, and we're going to play mainly metalcore, but I found this genre called Cinematic Harcore, and it's pretty sick. It's a lot like metalcore, but it's more synth-heavy. We both like it, and decided we'll stick with that.
I haven't talked to my friend a ton yet, but I think he knows a drummer that can play for us. My friend (The one that already is in) plays guitar and does great screaming/growling vocals. He knows a bassist, but I haven't talked to him about that yet. I play keyboard/synth, but all I have is this little KORG keyboard I got for $50 on Amazon. It's basically just a MIDI controller, so it has to be connected to a computer while MIDI output software is running, such as M1 Le or MIDI-OX. I'm planning on getting a microKORG for my birthday, but that's in July, so it's kind of far away in terms of getting stuff with the band done.
I've been working on parts I will do for songs, and I've been sharing them back and forth with my friend to see what he thinks. So far, I have all the parts I will play for one song (It's called Clockwork Cataclysm) done, and my friend likes them as well, so when I get the microKORG, I'm going to play them and maybe post them on here. Maybe I'll even have the rest of the bands' parts on it...
While I was just reading it over, I noticed that it sounded like we've been a band for so long, and that we're all ready to perform and stuff. I know we're not, but I guess I'm just excited.
