I would make the game look like dragon quest monsters joker.
Pokemon games really need to come into 3D space. Im tired of sprite battles and animated attacks. I want to see my hard work and hours of grinding in a 3D environment. The DQMJ series has shown us that it is completely possible on the DS, why not on the 3DS too.
-The over head world would be like a 3D 3rd person rpg. you would walk around in 3D space and interact with other trainers. Im not sure how to do it but the only thing im having trouble with is the "getting into a trainer battle from eye sight" i guess i would make certain places that you have to talk to the trainer to get by or have to walk through a small space in the eye line of the trainer to get through.
-battles. its not that heard to rig a few hundred monsters and give them generic animations. Then make them look like DQM and toon shade them. easy.
