Well, My Chinese school is so screwed up. Every Friday, I have to go to this screwed up class to learn Chinese, but I'm not learning anything. The teacher is.. well, today, she made the class sing some kind of song about Dim Sum.

Teachers are not always the most competent. This applies especially to language teachers, who are in short supply. Schools often can't be picky.

My first three or four French teachers made the class do puppet shows. All. Year. Long. (Glad I got excused from those classes)

Most language teachers won't teach you anything by themselves. To pass Spanish II & III I've heard you have to use Rosetta Stone in combination with the class. I'd imagine the same goes for Chinese, which I've heard is moderately difficult.

With the Chinese rising in the world, especially in business and commerce, learning the language is a good investment for people in that line of work.

Songs about dim sum though, I dunno. Lol.

With China leading an export market or a rise in Chinese population? A tariff could easily level the plain. That and laxing regulations here to bring jobs back. :tpi:

I am Chinese. In fact, I speak Cantonese, which is harder than Mandarin.
