I just got a free TurboDuo! :D

Awhile ago a friend of mine told me that he had a TurboDuo he didn't use anymore and he offered to give it to me. About 5 months later I finally got it (:D)
I'm honestly not sure the value of TurboGrafx items, as I don't usually collect NEC stuff... But it's cool anyways :3

(+ China warrior and Bonk's Adventure on HuCARD, but those aren't in the picture and don't have cases...)

I wanted to know if anyone could recommend some good games for the system that I should pick up. (I like RPGs :3)
And I can't play the bottom-right HuCARD. I hear it's because of a different pin configuration between regions, but I'm not entirely sure how I would convert it... (and no, it didn't come with a converter 3:)

Also, the Disc Drive is very hit-or-miss. It will work sometimes and other times won't work at all, or music will take 15 minutes to load :U
Not only that, but the audio cuts in and out a bit sometimes, or it sounds muffled. I hear this is sometimes due to the caps in the audio circuit failing.

I sold my TurboDuo without any games at all a few months and it went for just under £370. These things are a lot rarer over here though, it's extremely rare to see one on eBay even from international sellers. I had issues with my disc drive too but then that might be down to the age.


Bonk/Air Zonk series, Akumajou Dracula X, Chi no Rondo (Castlevania), Bomberman series, Military Madness, Legendary Axe, Alien Crush/Devil’s Crush, Parasol Stars, Ys series (one of the best RPG series) and it has some of the best shooters.

oh im soooo hating on you right now. altho i do still have my TG-16, i was never able to get the duo. :(
but id suggest looking for alien/devils crush games. im not much of a pinball player but they are just damn fun. also look for legendary axe and 2, nectaris, Y's, dungeon explorer, and right now the freaking name eludes me but there is one that is much like a zelda clone. i have it ill have to go look at it and get the name. it also had a sequel. also i hope you like shooters cause this system has some awsome shooters.

Anyways, sadly I'm not a big fan of shooters (cept' Galaga... but is that really a shooter? :3)
I do like Zelda, however, so if you could get me the name of that game it'd be great :D

I tried Bomberman 94' on an emulator and it was fun, so I might import that game. But I read I'd need a converter for that :(
