i hate it when people say "prolly" or "probs"

like seriously. why can't people just type "probably"? this is just stupid. it's only 8 letters, it's really easy to type. or maybe you don't know how to type "probably" but that's just dumb. why is there even a S in probs? this literally makes no sense. also, there is only one L in probably but two in prolly...

Forget saying prolly or probs, using a JC Denton image as your your profile picture is a real crime.

Well I see "ninty" has been widely used for decades. I don't hate people who say "ninty", even for decades, they just need to burn in hell or at least have their thumbs removed.

internet lingo is a bit of a thing all its own. people like to abbreviate or talk with their own style.

but i will agree, prolly is just plain weird.

Anyway, I think that instead of getting annoyed by current abbreviations, you should instead be happy that we are no longer in the dark ages of "cul8r" SMS style abbreviations.
Because abbreviations aren't going away, and you're just making it harder on yourself by letting yourself be peeved by them.

How about "math" or "maths" for mathematics?
I don't type "prolly" that often, I think. But I might say it when speaking. Just because it's easy, it rolls out of the mouth really easily, unlike problablbly. But then when I want to be one of the young hip kids, I probs write like this, like totes!

@Issac I think Maths is the correct term, but for foreign speakers "Math" makes more sense. As a foreign speaker I've gotten used to calling it Maths though. Not like it comes up often anyway.

@The Real Jdbye Maths is British and math is American English if I'm not mistaken :) I prefer "maths" because it's "mathematics" :P

@Issac I thought I saw American people refer to it as Maths... Now that you say it though, I'm not 100% sure.
