I got a new external HDD

you'll fill it up soon enough. i've bought a 1tb in feb, used about 870 by the end of march, now its been sitting at 50gb~ free since then. im too hesistant to put more stuff on it cause i'll dread the moment i see "not enough disk space" on my tb.

Same. I got a terabyte about a month or two back and I only have about 400GB left.

lol that looks like my pc, but still holy crap! I've put 5 games on my little 16 Gb Sandisk Cruzer and I'm happy with just that.

I have an 80GB harddrive and I am fine with that, I am even good with a 40GB harddrive XD.

I don't download much though, I usually use the internet for everything lol.

well for the anime, i've seen well over 3/4 of it. and the games... most of it is archived backups of my 360 and wii games haha. i think there's the entire european snes collection sitting in there as well. well there is just a whole lot of differet stuff sitting there haha. i also just recently had to backup 200gb worth of anime to dvd. which was a huge pain. my 15gb hard drive i used as my main drive recently died.

damn, y'all are the types of people that put their animes on their HDD and just leave it there instead of making back up discs huh? i have a 500gb that i got on black friday 2007 and i have around 330gb left.

anyways, whats the problem you're having War? also, when you going to show pics of your HDD?

I only have a 110 GB HDD and perfectly content. In truth, only about 30GB is used. With the small amount of music and movies.

I always delete anime when I'm done, unless it's REALLY good and I think I might want to watch it all over again. If that's the case, I burn it to a DVD and save it, but delete it from the HD. Even though I do that, I still run out of space :<

As for the problem, I got it figured out now. I had to reformat it to NTFS.

Last year when I still only had my laptop and its 80gig harddrive, I made it last 3 years...
now I have a new laptop + external HD's...
they're filling up shitfast.

I had 1TB for a very long but after usbloaders came up I needed to upgrade to 1,5TB (500GB wbfs and 1TB ntfs). I only useit with the Wii though...

I filled it up with series (Al Bundy, Cosbys, Seinfeld,... series like this ) and movies (classic like Star Wars, LotR, Asterix, Spencer Hill,...) and I`m having a blast with it (using GeeXBox)! Sometimes people ask me "did you see that commercial" and I never know, what they mean, because I don`t use regular television to watch series or movies anymore

So I guess the next step would be 2TB but luckily I have 150GB left and some thing I would watch and delete afterwards but didn`t have the time to watch at the moment

So have fun with it...

omfg... You guys go beast on those HDD. I have a 40GB and a 640GB. Perfectly fine and working. I haven't even filled either of them half way yet... But am planning on gettign a bunch of games for the 640GB to store and play xDD

I don't delete anime unless I need more space... I don't even know why I do that because I'm always running out of space.
I hope you're happy with your new purchase and truth be told, I am somewhat envious. I always wanted an external HDD to carry everywhere with me (read: to work) but the price is just too dear for me and I don't have any real need for it.
