I FUCKING LOVE FRY'S.

So yesterday, my mom and I were going to my aunt's house... I was pretty bummed because the closest Fry's we have to our new house is like 14 miles away... and there's no way my mom would take me that far. So anyway, we're on our way to my aunt's house, and my mom was talking to her on the phone. I talked to my uncle, and apparently, there was one very close to their house! He offered to take me, and after like an hour of shopping @__@ this is what I got:

-Set of 15 white dvd cases ($6.99)
I really wanted to get these, as dumb as it is. I want to put my "backups" in these and print out the artwork for the game and put it in the case, just as if it were a real game. There's no real reason to do this, but I just like the art for most Wii games.

-16mb GameCube Memory Card ($9.99)
I can't believe I found this! On Saturday, I had to walk like 2.5 miles to the closest GameStop, and when I get there, the guy tells me that they have them and everything, but he doesn't have the keys to open that certain part of the store where they are stored at, and the manager was out for the rest of the day -_______- I was pretty damn pissed. Anywa, I found this one at Fry's. It's made by MadCat or something, and supposedly has "pre-loaded cheat save files". I honestly don't give a crap about those, I just need a memory card to play my GCN "backups".

And the best buy of the whole trip...
-Patriot 8Gb MicroSDHC card ($30.00)
LJKASLJKDFHASLDFKASFD OMG. I can't believe I got it for so cheap! The whole point of going to Fry's was to get a 4Gb memory card, because since I sold my R4, I only have a 1Gb and that's it. I figured a 4Gb would cost me around 30 bucks, but when I got to the store, I found a hidden 8Gb card that was marked at 30 bucks! It was the last one left, and the others were all marked 49.99. So I grabbed that bad boy in an instant and took it to the register to see if the price was right. It was! It was some random sale they were having, and I got the last one left!

So all in all, very good purchases. I'm so happy with my 8Gb, I would have never guessed I would have gotten one. It's awesome! Now I can just throw all my games in there without having to hurry to finish the others to make room. So far, I've put like 50+ games without trimming and I still have 4.5 Gbs left o-o

I once went to Fry's wen I was visiting my Great Uncle in Texas, but unfortunately, there are none here in Ohio... :(

HEHEH. I feel the opposite. I lived in San Jose, CA and was like 5 miles from a Fry's. I think one year I spent so much time and money there, some of the workers began to think I was an employee. Now that I live in the far west area of Phoenix the closest Fry's is 32 miles away. I go like once every 2 or more months. It has saved me lots of money. Although there is always ebay and dealxtreme.

Fry's is a great store but none in my current location so meh I guess I continue to shop newegg

Fry's gave me both of my PSP memory sticks for way cheap. =P

We go there once every so often, but it's hard to find good deals anymore. I used to go there a lot when I was getting my tower up and running...and I will probably need to go when I decide to fix it.

I rarely go to Fry's because the nearest one is in the City of Industry (we have a City of Commerce too lol) and its 25 miles away, about 45 minutes in traffic. Plus the 2 or so times I've gone I've gone with my mom who's motto is "look is free" so we didn't get anything.

I like to call Frys the "Pearly Gates". They have everything a gamer/geek could ever want. And sadly, the closest one is a 2 hour bus ride. T_T All the more reason to call it the Pearly Gates then, eh?

Haha, glad to see that a lot of people like Fry's. I wish I could work there to get the employee discount D: I've seriously spent so much at Fry's... mostly on memory cards >__>;

There are not enough FE in Phoenix, theres one in tuscon or scottsdale or whatever but none near south phoenix asfik

You could get a much better brand too.

I saw that deal in an ad on a newspaper a couple days ago for fry's. Although I love fry's, I really hate their return service. its dreadful... :angry:

Although NCIX has a good selection, I find it a bit overpriced, since they sell everything at their original prices when other places sell them at much cheaper prices.

Like the Etymotic Research ER4P is sold at 299.99, when I found an authorized seller that sells them at 199.99.
Same goes for Cowon D2, etc.

There's no Fry's stores in my state, so I tend to shop Newegg and DX.

I took your advice and went online to buy an 8gb MicroSD from FRY'S. It was only $30 (shipping included and all). As great a deal as it seems, I have to say that the way they run things SUCK! It's been an hour or so and I have yet to receive any confirmation e-mails regarding my purchase and my account registration. I am very disappointed. I hope I have not been gypped.

I've never bought anything online from them, so the online experience may be completely different. :\

There is one on Baseline near the 10. When I lived in Tempe that is where I went all the time. It was frickin hilarious too. When Fry's took over Incredible Universe, I would go into the newly purchased IU turned Fry's (in tempe) and overhear ppl saying shit that Fry's grocery store (which is still in Phoenix) had no business getting into the electronic business! Ah, those were the good ole days. Fry's grocery was sold to Kroger when I was a kid and the son's of the old man who owned the grocery store took the money and started Fry's Electronics. I guess they have built some massive electronics museum in the bay area. It has every computer and all sorts of mathematical stuff. Dunno too much about it since I no longer live there.
