How to ruin a young life (1)

I have to split this in multiple parts. Today only some preliminary remarks. The text will not even come closely to the quality of Beneath the wheel which had autobiographical elements of Hermann Hesse. (A wonderful manual for teachers how to ruin someones life.) I was also severely damaged (both physical and psychological) by teachers and doctors; in a totally different way; but unlike Hesse’s book, this is a true story and not just fictional with a few autobiographical parts. It is true, but I can’t prove it.

To make this even worse: The inability to proof is sadly my own fault! If I was not so law-abiding it could have been different. It would not have changed my life to the better, but it would most certainly have changed the life of other people to the negative. They would have gotten what they deserved. Maybe some teachers would have lost their jobs – and this a really hard statement. Most teachers in Germany are “Beamte” and can’t be easily fired. For a teacher to lose their job… teachers must do something really stupid to actually get fired and not only get forced into another school.

I have zero problem telling everybody about this. Not only is it no secret, it should be publicized as a warning. It is about misuse of authority, in particular teachers and doctors. Do not blindly subordinate just because someone claims to be an expert.

Because – like already stated above – I can’t prove it, it is not possible to write everything in detail into a blog visible to the public as it could lead to my uncovering my true identity if somebody involved in the former events reads it. Okay; It's not very likely; I don’t think they’re interested in video games. “Sina” or “Sinchen” is not my real name, but my alter ego, a fictional character and in some way a part of me.

Because of the lack of proof, treat this text as a personal opinion rather than a factual report. Better: This text is a personal opinion… free speech, you know… True story… how I experienced my youth. My former "opponents" should not be able to attack me for expressing how I experienced something.

It is ridiculous. I did the same in real life I now do here on GBAtemp: Trying to help other people. Going into detail about what was the reason to lock me up (and this "reason" was defamation) is not possible because of the above. Rather than telling what happened, I can tell what I did NOT do:
  • I did not use or try to use any form of physical violence or verbal offense against schoolmates, teachers or anybody else.
  • I did not do or try to do anything unlawful to schoolmates, teachers or anybody else.
  • I did not threaten anybody to do such a thing.
Despite of these facts (This I can proof, and even if not, the burden of proof about criminal activity is on the opposite side) I was locked up and drugged up to the eyeballs with Risperidone, Citalopram and Amisulpride at the age of 14(!).

Some years after that I told my general doctor (who was complete new to me at that point) about my experience and the doses they had given to me. His immediate reaction, with his eyes wide open: “And you could still stand up? Most people would have fallen into coma!”

The diagnosis was schizophrenia spectrum disorder; psychosis. Neat. Psychosis → anti-psychotic medicine. Where’s the problem? I never had schizophrenia! This false diagnosis was stamped on me. Like a big red stamp with the word
“INSANE!”
on the forehead. And this stamp was used to nullify my human rights.

Psychiatry has a general problem with that. Once a certain disease is assigned to a person he/she loses all legitimization to decide for him/herself. “Your condition implies that you can’t judge your own situation. You have obviously lost all touch with reality. Therefore you do not know what is good for you.”
  • “Is it okay to decide against the will of person in case this will is biased because of illness?”
  • “Should a doctor be allowed to decide against a patients will and use force?”
  • “Is being a psychiatrist sufficient to be able to identify such conditions?”
  • “Do criteria exist to objectively diagnose such a condition, especially in case of NO criminal activity and/or announcements.”
Out of scope for this text! I would say in general no. Further reading about psychiatrists’ ability to judge persons. This text is just about (ab)using this power against not insane people. However you define insane and a condition requiring force in detail.

In my opinion psychiatry in general lacks comprehensible criteria for diagnosing various mental diseases; for me this field has so many terms that are simply not well-defined.
Enough for today.

EDIT:
Some typos. Added Wikipedia links for the drugs.

Speaking of meatballs, what's the deal with meatball sandwich? How can people eat those? It's ROUND. Trying to bite those in a sandwich is a challenge. It's easier to eat a burger stacked with toppings. :ninja:
