Alright this is quite a long story, so basically there is this girls I really like in my class, and I was friends with her and her boyfriend, but then the dude broke up with her in a way that made me lose all respect for him, basically blaming her for everything that went wrong, so I basically just stopped talking to him, the reason they broke up is because we all got into a fight, and then she couldn’t text, because her phone wasn’t working, and she couldn’t come to class, because she was getting tested for COVID, and the dude got so pissed that he just blamed her and then broke up, and I really like her, do I even have a chance?

Also how long should you wait to ask a girl out after she broke up with someone, also she did plan on breaking up with him already

If he is your bro, or if you plan on ever being friends with him again, the respectful thing is to ask him first if it's cool with him. If not then yea, go for it!

Sorry didn't read other post till now but I'd just try to be good friends with her for now, maybe just hang out and such. Then she will let you know when the time is right for more than friendship. Good luck!

@BigOnYa yeah well he was my friend, but the way he broke up with her was just by blaming everything on her, which kinda made me lose respect for him, so we aren’t really friends anymore

Exactly as BigOnYa said just be a good friend to her for now. In the future things may or may not happen. I just wouldn't get your hopes up now that she is single and remember there are plenty of more girls out there.

Also I want to make sure it is clear that she wasn’t sad about the break up, in fact she told me she was planning on breaking up with him already
