Happy is the noob

I just realized that being noob is great !

You don't know anything, you ask stupid question and everyone answers you.
Either it is a flaming for your n00biness or a real answer, you eventually ends with a good information, even the less n00b than you can gives you an answer.
Everyone is happy, newbies becoming less n00b, other people giving answers to someone feels important, and Pro loves having newbies less idiot.

Now, I place myself in the Pro.
What a bad rank it is !

When you are in a Pro rank, you ask only technical question you don't have answers so nobody have answers either

I feel like nobody can help me when I need help (Or I need to wait longer to have one, and I ends looking for it myself anyway).

I often need to search by myself. Don't take it wrong, it's really satisfying when I find the answer or solution after searching a lot.
But sometime it could be quicker to ask to someone else.

I don't blog a lot and don't know if it will have answers either, usually my topics don't get answers

if you consider yourself pro then you are not
i've been here 3 years and my typing is still pathetic :3

I don't consider being a pro by time, but by what I know and the questions I need to ask compared to the other users level.

for example, I would like to know how to implement filename suggestion renaming in my Firefox add-on while using single click (I can only do it with right-click)
Or get rid of the Firefox saving process to read the left or right clicked element's filename and hostname before the saving process even start (so mime type tab will work too).

That's technical questions.

For an easier question I thought gbatemp users could answer :
I would like to know how to read and set the scrollbar position while loading a webpage using javascript.
I should look at the scrollbar properties and event.

I still didn't get the answer on my other topic, but it's only few hours long, so I will still wait few days before complaining and start looking at it myself by examining gbatemp or wiki sources.

not sure what you mean by "set the scrollbar position" but if you mean that you want to make a page oad scrolled down to the very bottom then you could make an anchor were you want it to be scrolled to in the page and use javascrip to change the url to that anchor (eg. http://site.com/index.htm#anchorname)

my "problem" is here :
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=211...0&p=2636509

It's not really a problem, I just though I will ask here on GBATemp to see if users already knew how to do it. It would prevent me from spending time to look everywhere, or check the Mediawiki source code (because I don't know where to start looking), if someone want to help me in coding my forum ^_^
But if nobody has the solution, I can start checking it myself, it will just need more time, but I will find the solution one day :P

I take the opportunity to ask if there are users willing to help me with developing my Firefox Add-on.
It's all in xml, javascript and DOM. not really hard but I don't spend a lot of time on my project and it's advancing slowly.
I usually like making the code myself to understand what I do, but There are a lot of people with better programming experience than me which might be a great help, even if it's only for optimization.
Anyone interested ?
