AWESOME! I cannot wait for this, because we all know just how great it will be to see Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann on the big screen. Wow talk about a great release date, my birthday nonetheless :D

OMFG. I'm in the same boat as you guys/girls. LOVE THIS ANIME. It's thanks to GBATemp that I heard about it too :moogle:


But I didn't know there was a movie. Is it basically the same as the episodes but in movie form?

Yes, that's basically it. Gainax just edited a couple things (Viral gets his own Dai-Gurren, Viral and the three other generals Gattai, and some other stuff) and retouched the graphics for arc one. Kamina still dies, but I bet they will spend a large amount of the budget re-illustrating his death. (I hope)

Not much is known about the second movie, which covers the second arc.

Well I always think something sucks before I actually try/watch/listen to it. lol
And my friend told me that all mecha animes were crappy so I didn't know what to expect.

Yikes, try to get episode 4 finished with as quickly as you can. I almost dropped the series when I saw it.

Oh, and sorry about that, I assumed everyone watched Gurren Lagann before hand in this thread because of the movie talk.

It looks like the Anti Spirals are going to use the Cathedral Terra as their own mech, and Arc Gurren Lagann looks like it's going to have to battle it, which gets me excited because Arc Gurren Lagann is my favorite mecha from the show.
