Goddamn Amazon

Couple days ago I ordered the Welcome to the NHK light novel from Amazon (because Xcalibur wouldn't shut up about it.) I was happy because I got it for only 24 bucks or so, which considering the other ridiculous prices, seemed like a pretty good deal. Apparently, this light novel is pretty rare, and USED ones were going for anywhere between 40 bucks to 300. Yeah, 300 USD. Ridiculous.

So I ordered it last week, and it said it was gonna arrive this Wednesday. Wednesday comes around and no novel. I went online to check what was up. I log in to Amazon and the order isn't even listed in my purchased items. Okay... so I send them an e-mail. They never get back to me. Today, I still didn't get it, so I checked my e-mail and I had a new mail from Amazon. Apparently the novel went out of stock after I bought it, so they refunded my money. They offered me to buy it again... for 45 bucks. Used. Uh, no thanks.

But fortunately, I looked online for a while and found a site which... well, didn't look TOO reliable, but it was offering the exact same novel for only 7 bucks. (On sale!) I just couldn't pass it up, so I filled in my info and ordered it. Shipping cost me 6 bucks, so the total came to about 13 dollars... but that's almost half of what I would have paid at Amazon. I guess all in all I ended up getting an even better deal, so I'm pretty happy. I just hope they don't screw me over and take like 3 weeks to ship it or something.

I got it off my friend the other day
read through it twice.

Its brilliant! It handled satou and misakis relationship a lot better but yamazaki sort of got snubbed :(

afaik, that just means the dont stock it but only order it when people buy it. you'll just have to wait a little longer than usual i guess.
