This is officially my first review ever on any game I have ever played. Criticism is allowed, but please don't flame me.
Opening
A great new FPS has come out for the DS. Definately a good thing. Call of Duty 4 was a blast, and is one of the only First Person Shooter games for the Nintendo DS. As this game has Wi-Fi, it's already a step up from Call of Duty 4, but let's see what else this new CoD has.
Gameplay
New stages, new mini-games, a challenge mode, and *gasp* Wi-Fi! This should be great. Under Single Player, we have the same modes from Call of Duty 4, but with a bonus of Challenge Mode! In Campaign, you got through all of the stages in the game that are unlocked as you beat each one. You encounter new mini-games as you progress further in the game, some hard and some easy. Certain stages gives the positions of different soldiers meaning sometimes you are on foot, in the air, or bombing the crap out of supply buildings. The armies you are playing with are the Americans, the Russians and the British, and your enemies are the Japanese and Germans.
After you beat Campaign mode, as the Allies you are free to choose any stage you want to play in Quick Play.
In Challenge Mode you are given a single challenge. Once you beat it, the next Challenge will be unlocked and in total, there are 30 challenges for you to try at over and over again, while you are given requirements that have to be met in order to complete the challenge. Fun, huh?
In the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection, you can setup your WFC, upload your stats up on the website, or have some good shoot-'em-up fun Worldwide or with your friends using the infamous Friend Code system. In WorldWide Match, you can have 4-Player matches (including yourself) in 11 different maps. For top entertainment it's best to get 2 to 3 people in a match as you will find yourself walking around lonesome in the silence of nature during 1vs1.
Single player lasts slightly longer than before with the addition of Challenge mode, so you can have hours of fun on or off Wi-fi.
9.0/10
Graphics
The "hand and gun" graphics appear to be slightly sharper than that of Call of Duty 4, but mostly everything remained blocky. At certain points in the game, you can experience slow-downs. Basically, same old same old.
7.5/10
Sound
They have improved in the quality of shots and voices which is awesome. Sometimes there's no music, Wi-Fi for example, which is kinda let down for me and most songs are used often as "Suspension" music. A few new songs on each stage which is satisfying enough.
