Fuck Betternet

For those of you who don't know, I used to use a free VPN service called Betternet. Keyword: used. Now, I don't anymore because of what happened today. I opened chrome, a pop up appeared. I thought nothing of it, so I closed it. Then ads started randomly appearing, it was getting to the point I couldn't even use some websites. So I opened a different browser to search for some answers, found Google's support page, and reset all my chrome settings. It stopped. At this point, I started turning on extensions one by one until the problems came back. When I enabled Betternet, they came back. The thing is, this was extremely unexpected because I have used this extension for months, and I never had any problem. Oh well, I don't really need to use VPNs as much as I did a few months ago, so it's not much of a lose, but still...

You can use ZenMate VPN , i use that since almost 1 year and when i use it , it never fails me tbh.
And smh , you should report that extension.

The VPN client that I recommend is Cyberghost VPN. I always use it when I want to mask my IP address using my jailbroken PS3.

I just tested Betternet and I had no ads.

(I don't use the extension. I have the full installable program.)

Well, I actually have the program for half a year now. And I also have the iOS app for a bit longer. So far, I had no problems.

@Sonic Angel Knight I use a VPN because I can't access most sites that people can due to where I live!

@Dionicio3 I think I use HoxxVPN and it's pretty fast, but it's on Mozilla Firefox! I don't like how much RAM chrome uses. I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems with a VPN

Oh, well I hardly have trouble accessing websites unless is virus based and the web browser be all like "HOLD UP, WE STOPPED YOU CAUSE IS POTENTIALLY THREATENING" Other than that, I had no restrictions. Only problem is i get some warning of downloading a movie from my internet service provider. Only cause guest do it and I never know, i thought it was a joke or I'm being hacked. :P

May I recommend Private Internet Access, it's pretty good and the prices are really low, I'm going off a 2 year subscription for only $60.

I use OperaVPN on my Android, it's good enough at its job I'm considering moving over to Opera browser on Windows
