OK, so you saw my RROD Xbox 360 being given away thread, and that was broken, but look at THIS:

Was my sons been in his bed room since he went to the Army 16 years back. It still works because the grandchildren play with them whenever they can come visit. Turning her bed room to a sewing room i want to make room. Hopefully you can get the same joy that he did. Comes with 3 remote controls and gun.

Games include:

Mario 1 and 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
Tetris
Double Dragon
metroid
excitebike
tecmo super bowl
battletank
duck hunt
Commando
rbi baseball
stadium events just kidding

IT EVEN WORKS! ALL IS FREE AND LOOK AT THOSE TITLES!

If only I could drive and dad wasn't such a game-hating prick....

I asked if I had to pick up...if the person were to ship it and the costs weren't high I could surely profit from selling a WORKING NES or even just enjoy it myself.

Selling something you've gotten for free is rude.
Play it and enjoy it or give it away like this person is.

I probably would play it at least a little. The only thing would be getting the hookup to work correctly with my LCD.

No, it's just rude to the person who buys it from him.

OK, let's say your big brother won the Nintendo Power Mag contest as a kid and won the 1990 world championships gold cart, for free. He gives it to you eventually because he's "too old for that stuff".

Years later, you need money to go through college. Is it rude to sell that NES world champs 1990 cart and get some HUGE help with covering college funds?

Is it rude to that collector who's been searching high and low for the grail?

The situation changes greatly. On one hand you have the kindness of a stranger and assuming your in such a financial mess it would be okay to sell it for money in my opinion but any other way just looks greedy and selfish. On the scenario you described your brother gave it to you to do whatever you want with it so selling it would be fine.
