Hey, its been I while since I made a blog *hides April Fools joke*, and I want to make one now.
Anyways, a couple of days ago, my dad brought home a computer from his work that was reported as broken after they have dropped it. They said "it wouldn't boot." Instead of trying to fix it, they instead gave it to my dad for him to keep. My dad gave it to me, and I was so excited. Unfortunately, the only video outputs it has is DVI and VGA, and my TV in my room only has HDMI and composite. So, I decided to take apart the computer and clean it up because it was dusty as fuck. I also went to Radio Shack (yes Hollister still has that) to get thermal paste, because the paste already on the CPU was old and crumbly.
While I was at the register, the cashier said "hey, since you're a high school student, you can get 15% off on any purchase here." I wasn't aware of this discount at all, so that was really cool.
Anyways, jump to a few days later, I ask my dad to take me to the self storage center where we keep all of our shit. We went there, and I pulled out a somewhat small VGA monitor I knew we had in there. I plug everything in and... wut, it boots up just fine. So basically, I got a free computer with pretty decent specs.
Here are those specs
Storage: 500GB HDD
CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 3GHz
Graphics: None
RAM: 4GB DDR3
I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 since the copy already on the computer was enrolled in an enterprise, and just like that, the computer is mine!
Anyways, hope you enjoyed thus blog. And here's your TL;DR:
I got a free computer from my dad's workplace.
