[rant]Basically, I lost my part-time job. But that's not the main reason I am raging.

A few weeks ago I bought Dead Space for my PS3 off of Amazon, I could of sworn I had exactly, EXACTLY, £11.45, so I should of had 1p left over ( :D )
But then once I bought it, the next day later I get a call from the bank telling me that I spent 5p more than I had, and i'm sure I had the exact amount, I even checked online before-hand to make sure. During the call they told me they would have to charge me a £30 fee for going over-board, which sucks hard, but it wasn't something I couldn't pay by next month, but by then it would of increased by another £15 for not paying it within the month. Which also sucked ass, but again I should of been able to pay it back by some-time in August easily.

So today I get a text message from my Manager saying that he is sacking me for monetary reasons which 'he can not disclose' (He be trolling, wtf, I was like the hardest worker there, I was never late and always done as I was told without asking questions). This is where the shit-storm begins brewing, this means that I won't be getting paid anymore. I wasn't too pissed off as it wasn't like I was in debt or anyth- oh wait, I AM. Now I have no way to pay back that debt, and if I don't get it paid back by the end of August, it will go up to £60, which will be even HARDER to pay back.

I now have to find another Job by next month and try to start paying it back, which is impossible in this job recession may I add, closest thing I could get to a job at the moment would probably be having to deliverer newspapers in the morning which would be impossible for me because then I would have to wake up 2-3 hours before I normally do, which ...just isn't going to happen. So yeah, i'm screwed at the moment.

My parents agreed to pay back half of what it is now, which is £15 (Why can't they pay it all back? It's not as if I won't repay then. :hateit: ) So by next month that will leave me with £30 to pay back, assuming I can get it paid back.

Oh yeah, i'm also on holiday at the moment so it isn't the best way to start off a day. FML.[/rant]

In other news, my little GBAtemp 'project' is coming along nicely, i'm still setting up a template which won't be finished until the end of the week

make your parents pay it all back and then pay them back
it's damn ridiculous they wouldn't unless you have outstanding debt to them already

I don't see why your parents can't pay the full amount now, it seems stupid for them to knowingly make you pay an extra £15. And a £30 fine for just a 5p overdraft? What is this country coming to... :angry2:

Just sell a few games that you've played to a pawn shop, or something. Easy money, hopefully.

I can't help you, but I hope you do well!

A word of advice though, go on Ebay next time, i got Need For Speed Shift for my Ps3 on there for $30 (i have no idea what that is in pounds).[/quote]
The amount of times I have been ripped off on eBay are endless, I prefer ordering online from trusted sellers, besides looking on eBay now it all seems to cost MORE for it.

It's not as if I ever borrow money from them, and I don't have any outstanding debts other than this or anything, they are just being arseholes about it, my Dad said: "This will teach you to manage your money and stop spending your life on those computer games." I was going to tell him to piss off, but I didn't think it would make it any better, he narrowly avoided death, isn't this what parents are there for? To help you in times of NEED?

They want to make me 'learn my lesson' for it, bastards. Also, yeah, if you go even the slightest over they smack a large sum of money you need to pay into your hands, that is why I checked online to make sure I had enough, and i'm sure I did, but the bank 'assured' me I was wrong.

Just demand that they send you statements. If you are sure that there was enough there, and Amazon's price is the same, then it should be easy enough to prove...

I got out of an overdraft fee ($50 or something) here in aus by calling customer service. Dunno how customer service is in uk but enough complaining here will get you off anything.
