Feeling nostalgic tonight...

Haven't fired up my Wii U in a few years since the Switch launched. I missed it.

My nostalgia?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. AMAZING game, and it's downright miserable it was the last worthwhile one; it kept Darkness/Time's endearing plot and enjoyable gameplay, whilst adding more than enough to justify a third game.
The ending gets me every time; one of my favourite game endings ever.

I enjoy it. It's a bit hard to read text, but a bigger CRT in the future will come my way.

Are CRTs even produced anymore? Especially in larger, and significantly heavier, sizes?
I've certainly never seen one, not in years.

No, but I can snag them from local recycling centers and off Facebook Marketplace and places like that. Lots of people wanna get rid of them, usually for free.

Nice try, making it look like a retro console. FullHD! PS3 competitor! Breath of the Wild ffs! :)

The games library is also basically the same as the Switch, but stopping 2017.

Wii U is to the Switch kinda like the original DS is to the DS Lite

@crea Nah; the Wii U has two Legend of Zelda games the Switch wishes it had - Twilight Princess HD and The Wind Waker HD. Also Xenoblade Chronicles X. And Yoshi's Woolly World, I guess. Oh, and Virtual Console. I suppose Wii backwards-compatibility is also a thing, but motion controls never work, so...almost entirely worthless.

This is the only spare TV I have in my gaming room so far. But at least I finally got my 3 Zelda posters hung up. My stepdaughter turned 18, and moved across the country, so now her old bedroom became my gaming room.

Need to get a HDMI to RCA cable with SCART. I still have my parent's 30-year-old CRT TV working with my PSX and PS2 consoles. But I'd like to use it with my Wii U and X-Box 360. :D

For the Wii U, you can just use the Wii's RGB cable, no SCART required. (As long as the TV has component inputs.) My TV only has antenna and Composite-in, like most American CRT TVs. So I just use the Wii's Composite cable, which works fine.
