Facebook is going to die.

Hm....I always thought these social networking sites were info harvesters. Seriously, why would Facebook offer all this for free if there wasn't a catch? Something to think about. (Yes it applies to ALL social networking sites).

Advertising is where the money is for facebook and other social networks.

Pretty much, there's a lot of false worry on there people moaning that its going to be a paid service but again if they made it a paid service they would lose more money than gain.

As for any other service, I can't be arsed to join up. There isn't anything at all that they show that makes me want to join. I didn't even want a FB account, an ex started it for me.

Just ike every other social network, Facebook will die. It's in the nature of the masses to see something new and shiny, gasp and jump right over to it. It's what happened before, and I don't doubt it will happen again.

MySpace was never as big as FB was, you hardly saw "see us on MySpace" in any adverts, news broadcasts or pretty much anything in the media. For a lot sadly FB is a way of life.

Not saying it wont ever be replaces just saying it wont be as easy as when it replaced MySpace.

Im sure if tagzard and his slew of irl friends!!! decided to abandon facebook and migrate to google+, google+ would become the king of social networking in a day.

It wasn't just MySpace that wasn't as popular back then, it was the internet as a whole that wasn't as popular back then.

Though one thing I will say, is that I don't FaceBook will sink as low as MySpace, just that I don't think it will remain the King forever.

But I'm not sure if google+ will be the network to take it's place.

Yes, eventually it will in a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

As long as you don't have to pay the fee to get most of the services, then I doubt that having any sort of premium account available would dent their user numbers too much.

Well...a lot of them. MMOs...not so much.

The internet is simply a medium that allows us to communicate with real people we never in a million years would have been able to without the assistance of technology.
