i am gonna make some kind of guide\reminder\notepad for myself about the devices i own, i thought about using these blogs so if someone finds them maybe its useful
since this is more a thing for myself i will not make a nice and pretty thing (and i am terrible at it)
devices i own that will talk on this "notepad"
m3 perfect "big" sd version
ez-flash IV (white mini sd version)
(default options mean, flashcart menu is included on the rom)
some problems (and info) i noticed on m3
there are some graphical glitches on wario land 4 that don't happear on ez iv
after touching the hourglass, and the timer starts, some weird lines slowly blink on left side
using the patched rom (with the menu) on the emulator, the game crashes just when the timer starts
using the rom without the special m3 menu solves that glitches
the client was done by lazy programmers. if the game uses an Sram save, the patch rom options (the second tab) are unused and should be greyed out, i was having trouble with a game, and trying the different options only to find out it outputs the exact same rom.
no matter options i use (or direct copy), it crashes on pokemon liquid crystal rom hack, when trying to open the bag. this problem doesn't happen on ez iv...
doens't support "fast boot" on a 2gb sd card, this also happens to other gbatemper, works fine with a 1gb card
both formatted with fat
i need to test cluster size
i think this card doesn't support fat32... (need to test more with cluster sizes and cards)
i have no idea what is fast boot (press A to launch a game) or normal boot (press Start) i need to test times and look into this.. so far the only difference is the one mentioned above about 2gb cards
.dat files are big (1MB) in size, they hold both a battery save and a battery state
dat files are more annoying to deal than .sav (emulators and other cards, must convert) but save states is a great function
on m3 special menu (L+R+A+B) there are 3x2 saving\loading options
the regular save\load, read\write a save state inside the SRAM that is copied to the sd card at next boot
the other 2 options (backup1 and 2) will save to a separate file on the sd card (pretty neat)
i didn't tested cheats (since i never cared about cheats), the m3 game manager is not clear about the cheats included on the manager, there appears to be lots of numbered cheat files, which i suppose each number corresponds to the release number
