Exclusive

Well, you know, PC is always the definitive edition if available, not much ground for discussion nowadays.

@sarkwalvein there have be A LOT of lazy pc ports, so I'm not sure that's a given

I hate exclusives. They benefit no one other than vitriolic fanboys who use them as ammunition in their stupid arguments.

Comparing the xbone and PS4 exclusives setup to the PS3 and 360 one then it seems MS really dropped the ball this time around. Granted the whole industry dropped the ball as this has to have been one of the longest game droughts/thinnest pickings for games I have ever seen.

Of course I would rather have no exclusives and for console makers to be like DVD player makers in that some might have different largely superficial abilities but they all do the same thing for a few years until we get something better.

Anyway definitive version? You mean hurr durr the arcade is best but if you must then? Oh look a PC version exists so modders will fix that* if nothing else.

*to be fair there was a point where console vs PC (or possibly Amiga) meant quite a bit. N64 ports of things like Turok and Forsaken for good examples of this one, Amiga stuff tending to be better music and mouse support by default. In those cases there might actually have been something to a console port rather than being a "good enough" if you don't like mods versions of a game.
