Doctor Who Series Finale!

Today at 6:00PM is the Doctor Who series finale! Who's geared up for it? I didn't like this year's series at first, as it was a bit sloppy and tedious. The penultimate episode (The Pandorica Opens) was really good, but it's build-up didn't even merit a single award, in my opinion. My only hope is that today's episode will be better.

What a cliffhanger, though. How can the doctor pull himself out of this situation, now? He's in a box, Amy's dead and Rory sucks. Who knew? My guess is that some random guy who was the Doctor's friend 860 years ago will come along and save him using some kind of long-lost screwdriver, etc, etc, etc.

I'll be watching it tonight (obviously) and postponing my yiffing sessions I hope it'll be good, as aformentioned.

There's been a few pics and things mentioned that MIGHT give a clue to how it's gonna end


Some News articles have been saying - 'The universe relies on young Amy Pond'...

Now my theory.....
IIRC right @ the beginning of the series - there was a small clip in the first episode, where the Doctor 'left' the older Amy (& said 'I'll be a few minutes'), we then saw the younger Amy sitting on her suitcase & we hear the TARDIS, then in the next clip we're back with the older Amy & the Doctor re-arrives - 1 YEAR late...
.... so why show that short clip with young Amy ???

And also, it was 2 years late.

Don't forget about the shadow, the alternate Doctor that turned up in Flesh and Stone, and possibly the clock and the AM/PM trouble.

All I can say about the final episode is (it's just finished) ....

The first line (older) Amy says in the episode is SOOOOOO true !!!!!!!!!...'cos I WAS !!!!!!

Rethink your grammar with that one...:rolleyes: it was, not you were.
You were saying that you are complicated, whereas it was the situation that was complicated.

And I disagree, I kept up perfectly. ;)

It was alright. Not the best episode in the series and not the worst one.

Didn't feel like a finale.

It didn't, but it did feel like it culminated several episodes into one.

All I'm referring to was all the to/fro-ing of time @ the start, (mid way it became clearer) - but the ending was more like Tennants finale with the Master (where he became young 'because everyone in the world thought of him') - only in this case it was 'Oh look the Doctor didn't exist until someone thought of Him'....

I think I was hoping for something a little more like a 'miracle' like ... the 'Big Bang 2' recreated Time/Space but ALSO recreated the TARDIS & Doctor maybe at a specific point in Time (Remember it was said the Pandorica also contained molicules of EVERYTHING)

I must admit though - it WAS a great ending... Pond's outburst about her 'imaginary' friend & everyone thinking 'Oh No....', then finds out He was real & appears @ her wedding... Classic !!!! - & the traditional line 'Something Old,Something New,Something Borrowed, Something.... BLUE' - so apt for the Doctor

Yes, but her imaginary friend did look like a bit of a twat (oops that was Matt Smith)

That's exactly what I was correcting you on. You said "I WAS", meaning that you were one of the complicated things. :P

And I kept up well with all that, I'm good with those sort of things.
