so you see, I have been hitting 34 years old this year. Before the pandemic my body weight was around 61 kg. It would fall under a normal weight as my height is 177 cm. However during the pandemic, I noticed that my weight has been increasing slowly but steady, to the point it reached 63 kg recently. I am a bit concerned because I am that guy who has always been underweight in life, like, no matter how much foods I eat in a day, it will be gone in the next day. After a lot of my friends were complaining that they are trying to lose weight when they reached 30 something, it seems a bit of blessing in disguise because I am too lazy to workout.
anyway, recently I realized that I have been practicing intermittent fasting all my life. I eat at fixed hours: 9.30, 12, and 6. Sometimes I broke my pattern by eating chips when I want to binge watch a tv show, but it has not developed any substantial weight gain.
I was curious about the effectiveness of intermittent fasting, so I tried to lower my calory intake and lengthen my fasting hours, and interestingly, I lost about 0.75 kg in the last 3 days. My body now returns to 62 kg-ish weight. I am not planning to continue this experiment and will stick to my regular eating schedule. But interestingly, I lost 0.75 kg after an overnight sleep. Which makes me wondering, do I really lose a weight, or I just lost water?
Although I am still far from "fat", I noticed that men always grow fat in their belly. My father was skinny when he was around my age. now he hit 68, he looked like permanently pregnant. He doesn't look very fat, but that fat belly, omg.
My friend said he didn't notice any significant difference about my physique when we met a week ago, so I am not really sure whether I should be worried about gaining weight or not.
