Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?

I was telling my girl that a few months ago some of my friend thought I was crazy. "Why the hell are you investing on Gameboys? You can literally play Gameboy ROMs on any potato these days, including your phone", and I was like "Yeah, but it's like an experience, also being able to use the extra functionality like the game link" (nevermind that I have no one else to use the game link cable with anymore since the Pokémon craze in the 90s). But fast forward these months, those same people are like "whoa, you have a really cool hobby".

She replies to me: "yeah, but they don't know about the insanity..."

Me, after 2 weeks repairing a Game Gear, modding it, repairing damages by modding it thanks to outdated instructions by the mod seller and waiting for a a new chassis that will likely get stuck on customs for weeks: *laughs maniacally*

Some say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result……I called it Computer diagnostics.

Pokémon devs refusing to put the EXP. Share item back in, Switch game after Switch game.

Also BDSP using the original DP teams for Gym Leaders and Elite 4, totally ignoring the criticism the DS games got that Platinum rectified (for example, Flint - the Fire-type guy - using the non-Fire Steelix, Lopunny and Drifblim since the only two Fire-types in DP were Rapidash and Infernape; Volkner having to use Ambipom and Octillery, neither of which are Electric).
Related to this, they didn't account for the stupid shared-EXP mechanic by buffing team levels, so...goodbye any kind of challenge. Idiots.

Oh, and STILL NO BATTLE FRONTIER.

...Those are my definitions of insanity - "doing the exact same thing over and over again, expecting shit to change".
