Well, here we are again. I have fucked up another boot loader, and such a OS. In mostly the same way, which is so quaint I might die. If any of you people remember the first time with Windows 7 (on my old PC actually), i'll give a quick rundown. I uninstall my install of Linux Mint without installing the bootloader on my Windows partition. I couldn't boot into windows, and I did some stuff to basically screw up my OS. Had to reinstall. Here is the full blog if you want to see it.
This time, it was me removing the Windows partition from my system without installing grub on my Linux partition. Gonna tell the truth, I don't know how and I still don't, because grub-install didn't work. Firstly I tried something called boot-repair (which is what fucking broke my system last time but whatever). I booted it from a USB and click recommend repair. It did some stuff and then I rebooted. I still got grub repair screen. But the new thing it made was.......
MY MAIN PARTITION UNREADABLE! YAY.
So I have a corrupted partition, virtually no OS, and still no bootloader. Thank god I made backups. I reinstalled Solus and am now installing everything back.
TL;DR: If you don't learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it.
