Craigslist Woes

So right when I thought I had gotten lucky, I remembered it was Craigslist. Over 24 hours with no email back from the person with the great PSP deal. No replies from anybody where I requested a potential bundle break-up. No freaking replies anywhere. It's poor business etiquette and pisses me off pretty badly. Why is it so hard for people that use Craigslist to email back when that is the only form of communication they gave? I mean, it's just dumb.

Now it appears I'm out several good PSP deals and am bound to never get a PSP for the $60 price tag at this point. Screw you life. Give me a break for once.

If people sell something on Craigslist and they don't take the ad down and other people email them about it, they just ignore it.

I'll admit, I've done the same thing.

I've emailed people less than an hour after their ad was put up and got no reply. Either somebody is speedy, or instead, they just took the reply at the top of their email. I know for a fact that I had to have been first for at least one or two of those.

I freaking hate Craigslist though. It's like eBay, there are poachers everywhere looking to turn around their deal to make a profit.

Have you tried to deal with the sellers on eBay? I have seen the last few days many of the most wanted PSP's selling in the 50-75 dollar price range and some where even as a package that came with a few games or movies plus cases and/or power adapters with free shipping no less.

I've been really considering eBay at this point. I try to avoid it, as I'm afraid of getting scammed when I can't afford to be. At this point though, I'm pretty much out of options.

Have you been scammed before? I have a long track record on eBay for over 10 years and only got scammed once and that was about a month ago on a micro sdhc card which is common on eBay for those to be fake and some sellers don't even know It but paypal had my back and refunded my money quickly.

Never even used eBay personally. Also, prices aren't so fantastic. I can try to bid on one, but if it's a good deal, there is always somebody waiting to snipe (my luck trying to use eBay before). Ugh, I hate trying to find a PSP. If I had just $40 more, this would be so easy.

Your going about It the wrong way that's why. What I do is go to the ones that have a few days to go or just recently listed then ask the seller about the item and ask them If they would be willing to sell at a certain price. I'd say about 40% of the times I have done this they change the auction to a buy-it-now and we agree and end the auction. What model and what do you want with It and what price and are you picky about the screen condition? I can try and find you a deal.

Preferably a fully hackable 2000, but I would be willing to settle on any model if the firmware and price are right. Also needs to come with the battery and charger of course. Other than that, the condition just has to be good with everything working in one piece. The screen is most important in that respect. The casing isn't too terribly important, as long as it isn't scratched and banged up to high hell.

Thanks for the help.

Well the 2000/2001 line can be charged on USB and the wall charger is kinda an extra because of this but most people throw It in especially If they have It. Do you want one that is already on ctw or just able to be put on ctw that has the right kinda motherboard and not updated to the point of no return. Any preference to color or limited model?

Already on CFW or at least below the point of no return is preferable, although the 2000 and 1000 series can be downgraded at any point with a Pandora battery.

almighty that's all I need. I should have news by tomorrow afternoon. Just to comfirm, you said 60 dollars is your limit right...

Thanks a lot for the help. Yeah, $60. I should be able to cover shipping too on top of it just fine, but for the actual system, I can't go higher than $60.

If I would have known this yesterday I could have already got you a star wars 2001 in great condition with the charger and 2 movies from a seller I have dealt with before that is a good guy, was his son's but he hardly used It.

Seriously, if you use PayPal you have a money back guarantee to stop scammers from stealing your money.\

About the only way to eBay is to use PayPal. If I pay with debit or w/e through PayPal, do I still have that money back guarantee? I have little experience with PayPal beyond getting money through them.

I dunno but dad does it and once he bought me a game from canada and we didn't think it was coming ad he got his money back. Two weeks later we get the game.

Well I got 3 offer's in now It's a waiting game to find out the verdict's. Two of them are star wars limited and 1 is cfw 5.50 gen D black. There was a few I could have done right now but they where updated to current firmware and at the point of no return and I think most people know this so no bids at a low price. I will work on finding some more when I get up but It's late here now and I'm off to bed. Night.

Yeah not a problem at all, I enjoy helping people especially when they are having a hard time but don't thank me yet let's see If we can get a deal done first.
