Comp Sci or Math ed?

A bit of background on me and everything.
So I'm in college now as a freshman, declared my major as Math ed (secondary education)
With a minor in Comp Sci.
I've wanted to teach nearly all my life, and I've always loved math.
Last year I took a computer science class and absolutely loved it.
(Learned how to code in Java, nothing crazy, but it was fun)
I passed the AP test to many people's dismay
(I didn't find it terribly difficult, but a ton of people did)
So.
Now I'm in college, and within the next few weeks I have to decide the career for the rest of my life.
My GPA is pretty shitty as I found calculus fucking hard.
A Comp Sci major would require 2 semesters (which means after this semester no more calc)
Math would require another semester.
A guest speaker came in the other day to talk about Comp Sci.
She said if you like Algebra especially Comp Sci is more for you.
The more I thought about it the more I thought maybe I don't like all math, maybe just algebra.
And though I could teach some algebra, I'd be teaching other kinds of math as well.
So I dunno, I guess I'm thinking I'd like to be a programmer for a living for a while.
After a while of programing I suppose I could get a teaching certificate or whatever and teach comp sci somewhere.
Seems like that's what a good amount of people do anyway,
Career first, then teach based on career experience.
So I guess my mind is pretty set on switching majors, and it's not to say that I'm gonna make that choice based on some people I don't actually know online, but I figure third party opinions wouldn't hurt.
I also think I know the answer cuz of the community this is, but if there are any comp sci majors here I'd like to hear your opinions.
So that's about it for now.
Minecraft stuff will be up soon.
Need to get some screen cap software.
But yeah, peace out.

I have the same problem (sorta, with what to do at uni). I'm far better at maths but I enjoy Computing Science more. :(

I think it's up to what you want to do after your studies. If you had issues with calculus I wouldn't go down that route as there's more and more of it as you go down the line.

Double majoring would be pointless.
I could, but it's more of what do I want to do after school as well.

Also what about the teachers, SmokeFox?

Of course everyone will say Comp Sci. This is a forum filled with tech nerds. (no offense, but it's true)

If it's what your mind is set on, then just go with it. Make sure you're absolutely certain since you may not be able to turn back.

I voted Math / Education.

Shape the future, prepare the world for catastrophies. Much nobler than making fart buttons for the iPhone.

As a general rule maths alone can be pushed far into the computing world and computing types from maths courses are often better received than straight up computing types.
Equally nothing says you can not learn on the side.

Well, for me the part of the teaching is like that, the part that works: The one that is gotta learn is the student, and so he should decide wich way is more easy for him to learn, and that is not what happen, usually the teacher teachs, forcing the student to learn the way of the master, which i think that is not right, his job is to show the way and let the student learn by using any method that he likes. Thats what i think, and thats how it worked with me.

Well of course I'd be a good teacher if I taught.
It's a real passion of mine.
Though so is Comp Sci.
