While at school during lunch, a friend and I started a very interesting conversation. Or I should say a series of conversations. I figured it'd be interesting to see GBAtemp members opinions on it. Most of it leads to a dead end, or a question that can't be solved.
My Thoughts:
Everyone around me doesn't exist, but are rather imaginative creatures that I've created while in a slumber. This "slumber" I believe is like a coma, that I won't be able to leave until I die. However whether, or not I'm the only one in this trance I have yet to believe. We could all be in comas, living out these imaginative lives until we die. In which case we are out of the coma. People have had these "near-death" experiences, in some cases have led them to believe they are in another place, with other people. This could be them becoming conscious, until they are then "revived". Of course, this is just a theory and has many flaws. How can we be in a coma? What is the place like outside of this one? If we are in a coma, are our minds linked in a way so that we can interact with each other?
His Thoughts:
We have been created to live out as a "simulator" for the real people. They give us disasters, in order to see how we deal with them in order to prepare them if the situation ever does occur. Almost like hardware, when we get old and eventually die we are then replaced with younger versions of people. Commonly referred to as the next generation, who pick up from where we left off. Many flaws here as well. What about events we are unable to solve? When will all the events be solved, if they can be? What happens to our memory after death? Are we just erased like computer files?
We were thinking way too hard. So, all of you figments of my imagination what do you have to say? XD
