Have a phone capable of multitasking for just $80 instead of $2,530.
The only downside is, you need to fly to China and try to find that damn company which made your phone so they can fix it.
Other than that, you get a phone comparable to $2k samsung phone for just $199 or $231. But enough of this price talk, let's get into the main subject.
The main thing which I really dislike about chinese phones: Bloatware preinstalled.
By bloatware, I mean literally, viruses. Because nothing is spoofed as Google Search and it asks for marketing information. The other bloatware which is usually preinstalled is that damn Baidu, Chinese YouTube
(Aka. Free pirated chinese movies and chinese propaganda which I don't understand)
Launcher which displays ads, App which secretly lags the whole device because it keeps installing even more useless shit.
Most of chinese phones don't do that anymore but still, root your phone the day you get it. Especially if it's chinese.
Second thing I dislike about chinese phones (This only applies to some): No OTA updates. Absolutely none.
The fun thing about not having OTA updates? Your phone shows available RAM as 5084 when in reality it's just 512mb. Also, frequent reboots! What comes behind frequent reboots? Bricks.
Other than that, they're really good. Multitasking is okayish, Wi-Fi is good, emulation is even better.
Most of these feature MTK CPUs but some have been popping up with Snapdragon 820 and Mali-T880 combo.
If you're looking for a phone with doesn't hurt your budget and is capable of doing whatever your friends phone is doing then grab a chinese phone.
Some may hate on MediaTek but they're most affordable there. They're not bad, they're like cheaper version of Snapdragon.
If you want a good one for just $230 then I suggest grabbing LeTV brand phones. They pack a horsepower starting from $160 to $250. But don't go with Blackview brand unless you want useless bloatware and exploding battery.
Other than that, question to you: Had a chinese phone or no? If you had, then did you enjoy using it?
See ya in next blog post.
