Can't Decide

I only have enough money to afford one game, and I can't decide between FF13 and God of War 3. So I've decided to make a poll like the PSP or Wii one. Okay, I have not played any GOW game before, and when I watch the reviews its like, "This is Kratos's final journey and an epic end to extract his revenge against Zeus", and " GOW fans will love the epic finale" but I havent really a clue about the story of the GOW games. All I know is Kratos is some hench greek dude who doesnt like Zeus.
I've played FFIV and FF7, I really enjoyed both and I tend to enjoy RPG's. Everybody speaks about the "linearity" of the game and how the first 25hrs are just straight lines and stuff. But I dont really care about that to be honest. Actually, with the RPG's I play, I don't bother visiting towns anyway, I just do the main quest. I have looked at gameplay videos and the combat system seems really good and theres a lot of praise about it. The main thing with this game is the story that I am attracted too, the cut scenes look epic but I've heard mixed stuff about the story, some good some bad, so I was wondering if anyone has played it what's it like? How good is it?

Well then I would suggest GOW 3 but FF Xiii has a better storyline IMO

I have and I really enjoyed it but I havent played any other God of War game so I wont really know whats going on, which is what I'm worried about

I hate the new 3D Final Fantasies. I liked them on the NES and SNES, then later on the GBA, but that was it.

I think it's mostly because they suddenly went from medieval-style with flying sailing ships, then all of a sudden they were futuristic, with guns, lasers, and huge airships that look more like spaceships. WTF?! :wacko:

I prefer futuristic guns rather than swords and shields

You don't really need to know what's going on from the rest of the God of War's i'v played, it ends up telling you all you need to know.

What you should do, lol, go see how much the GOW Collection is (used) on PS3. Then save the money to buy that and FFXIII.

Lol, not a bad idea. But I want a game as in within the next couple of weeks as I dont have much to play at the moment.

Then, just do a two step process. Buy FFXIII now, and while you're preoccupied with that save up for GOW-C. Since skipping straight to GOW3 would be a waste without seeing the shiny that is the last two games on one disc.
