I actually flashed my own 360, though I don use LT+ as I don't play online, so it's still one 1.51 hitachi. It was actually pretty easy to flashed, just had to follow instructions to the letter.

Nice! I gotta start doing hardmods myself, I feel like a n00b with people doing it for me.

Well, it depends on the drive. I was lucky as hitaichs are easy to mod.

All you need is:

1: Longer SATA Cable

2: 2 CDS, 1 for putting into mode b and the other for unlocking the drive.

3: A little knowledge on how to use jungleflasher and there you go. As long as you did it right, flashed 360.

Other drives though you have to do other methods of getting in to it.

Also, did he give you or save your dvd key? That thing is VERY IMPORTANT if your drive is broken. I was stupid and deleted mine when I broke it after a couple of months of play. I still don't know how it broke, lucky some one more tech savy than me extracted it from the dvd drive. Then I bought another dvd drive and fixed it myself.

Now I have the key painted all over my wall.

I have a basic understanding of how to flash it, its just I don't have proper materials. I bought my 360 second hand pre flashed after my first one broke, and I got the drive key with it. Still have it.

I have a basic understanding too. I read up a tut and was surprised how easy it was. My family works with computes a lot, especially my dad, so it wasn't hard for me to find a sata cable or two cds.

I did one thing wrong by not saving the key and I couldn't play me 360 for a month.
