Back from a vacation in Tuscany!

After approximately three-four days, I'm back from my week-end vacation spent with my family in Tuscany!

We went there to meet one of our uncles, who lives in a small city named Montevarchi (where we also booked a room in a local hotel). It was an entire day just to get there by car, since I live in a city in southern Italy, Parete.

On the first "real" day, we went to Florence by a regional fast train, and there we saw everything - the churchs of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria (you can see a copy of Michelangelo's David there!), Dante's House, up to the Galleria degli Uffizi, where the most important pieces of art from the Reinassance are stored. Most notably, Sandro Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" and "The Spring".

On the second day we went to Siena. There we went to the square where the Siena Palace Tower is and where an important horse race is held periodically.

So, to summarize, our vacation was short but really cool. You must go there, you won't regret it! ;)
