89. Horse
90. Criollo chocolate
91. Spam - love it.
92. Soft shell crab - love it, one of my favourite sushi places has a place that does hand rolls with this in it!
93. Rose harissa
94. Catfish - mmmm...yum!
95. Mole poblano

51/100 - I guess because a lot of this list has a lot of Indian cuisine, and I tend to eat what I like a lot. I will try anything once, I think.

Also, bento is easier to do if you have a lot of different tastes.
For those of you reading this - take the time to reply with your list and answers and why you won't eat an item.
I saw 75 and I was NOPE!
There was some show on...The Discovery channel I believe that featured someone who pretty much lived off of roadkill (along with other things, of course). People who do this have very rigorous specifications on whether or not it's edible and I was surprised when I saw it.

But I still wouldn't eat roadkill.

Yep, it's a healthy way to eat, and very environmentally friendly, but I would try roadkill if it were offered.

I see baijiu on that list - 76...it's rice wine, but really strong rice wine. My bff from elementary school had an uncle bring some back from Vietnam, and he literally cracked an egg into it...and it started to cook inside the alcohol. The proof was so high that it started to chemically denature the egg. Scary!

What do you think happens to all the moose that get hit by cars in alaska... they feed people with it

This I have to do :)

1. Venison
2. Nettle tea
3. Heuvos rancheros - never had "official" huevos rancheros (having them in a restaurant or setting out to make them specifically), but I did have meals that fit the description :P
4. Steak tartare
5. Crocodile
6. Black pudding
7. Cheese fondue
8. Carp
9. Borscht
10. Baba ghanoush
11. Calamari
12. Pho - Agreed, yum ^_^
13. PB&J sandwich
14. Aloo gobi
15. Hot dog from a street cart
16. Epoisses - smelled it once. Maybe some day I'll come around to tasting it as well.
17. Black truffle
18. Fruit wine made from something other than grapes - Cherry wine, home made.
19. Steamed pork buns
20. Pistachio ice cream - Meh. Prefer actual pistachios.
21. Heirloom tomatoes
22. Fresh wild berries - Blackberries are really common around here. And wild strawberries, I love them. All of the strawberry flavor, none of the wateryness of cultivated strawberries.
23. Foie gras - rich, thick and overrated.
24. Rice and beans
25. Brawn, or head cheese - Not really my cup of boiled head, but I did try it.
26. Raw Scotch Bonnet pepper - I'm still working myself up to a jalapeno D:
27. Dulce de leche - Amazing awesome. Too bad I can't find it around these parts.
28. Oysters - Mmm, sea-flavored.
29. Baklava - I prefer the Turkish version, drowned in sugar syrup.
30. Bagna cauda - Sounds interesting, would love to try.
31. Wasabi peas - Depends on the kind, some brands are too wasabi for me [/wuss]
32. Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl - I've had a sourdough bowl, does that count as half? Never had clam chowder, would love to try.
33. Salted lassi - Like huevos rancheros, never intentionally, but I did make it accidentally on several occasions while messing around with yogurt and spices. Can't say about the authenticity though :ha:
34. Sauerkraut - Depends on the dish. I don't like it on its own.
35. Root beer float - We don't get root beer 'round these parts :(
36. Cognac with a fat cigar - I've tried them separately, does that count?
37. Clotted cream tea - No clotted cream 'round here either.
38. Vodka jelly/Jell-O - Jiggly.
39. Gumbo - Would love to try, tentatively (after reading the description in Pratchett's "Witches Abroad") :ha:
40. Oxtail - Curious. Apparently if you slow braise it it absolutely melts.
41. Curried goat - I like regular goat, I like curry. The combination could be good.
42. Whole insects - Curious.
43. Phaal - Curry: good, insanely hot and spicy: bad (wuss, remember?)
44. Goat’s milk
45. Malt whisky from a bottle worth £60/$120 or more - Not a fan of whiskey, good whiskey would be wasted on me.
46. Fugu - Apparently it's not even that tasty, it's just the thrill that makes it popular.
47. Chicken tikka masala
48. Eel - Fatty and waxy. The ones I had, at least.
49. Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnut
50. Sea urchin
51. Prickly pear
52. Umeboshi
53. Abalone
54. Paneer - Not available around here; made some myself, but I can't verify the authenticity.
55. McDonald’s Big Mac Meal - Actually never had the Meal as such; I've had individual components, though.
56. Spaetzle - Yummy with bacon.
57. Dirty gin martini
58. Beer above 8% ABV - The only way to beer.
59. Poutine - Sounds great, it's the first thing I wanna try when I go to Canada one day.
60. Carob chips - My grandparents have a carob tree in their yard, I've eaten just about everything carob.
61. S’mores
62. Sweetbreads - Meh.
63. Kaolin - Lolwut? :wtf:
64. Currywurst
65. Durian - The smelliest fruit in the world? Sign me up, if I ever come across one.
66. Frogs’ legs - Nothing special. Kind of like a cross between a chicken and an eel. Fresh ones, too.
67. Beignets, churros, elephant ears or funnel cake - Sure, I'll try anything doughy and deep fried.
68. Haggis
69. Fried plantain
70. Chitterlings, or andouillette
71. Gazpacho - Isn't that like a smoothie?
72. Caviar and blini - I've had caviar. What's the significance of blini?
73. Louche absinthe - Had some, not a fan.
74. Gjetost, or brunost - Caramelized cheese? I want it.
75. Roadkill - Depends on what I roadkill. My dad once hit a sheep. I wouldn't let that go to waste. Cats, on the other hand...
76. Baijiu
77. Hostess Fruit Pie - We don't get those around these parts.
78. Snail - Chewy.
79. Lapsang souchong
80. Bellini - Sounds like a waste of prosecco.
81. Tom yum
82. Eggs Benedict - Would love, but the preparation is too fiddly.
83. Pocky
84. Tasting menu at a three-Michelin-star restaurant - Yes please, if I had an infinite amount of money.
85. Kobe beef - That marbling scares me. It looks more tallow than meat
86. Hare - Love it.
87. Goulash
88. Flowers
89. Horse There's a butcher's shop on my local market that specializes in horse. It's very hard to get right, since it's lean and dry and can get tough and chewy easily. There used to be a horse burger joint down the street from me but they didn't do so well so they switched to a more traditional fare. The burgers were okay.
90. Criollo chocolate
91. Spam - I've had equivalents, never the official SPAM brand.
92. Soft shell crab
93. Rose harissa
94. Catfish - Depends on the fish and the preparation; most catfish here smell of the mud they eat. Ew.
95. Mole poblano - I would love love love to try it some day. My honeymoon will be in Mexico, that's already settled, just so I can stuff my face with their foods :P
96. Bagel and lox
97. Lobster Thermidor
98. Polenta -
99. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee
100. Snake - Was not impressed.

You don't have to fry polenta, if you don't like it that way. It doesn't have to be hard and compact, the consistency can vary from porridge to brick, depends on how you like it.

Thing is, I highly dislike that kind of wiggly/mushy texture in foods. I can't eat grits (my Southern gf would hate me for that), and polenta is more of the same. My morning oatmeal has to be as watered down as possible.
