My latest client Lexi wanted to give her husband one of my custom logo cartridges as an anniversary present, but she just wanted a simple picture with some text on it and a pokemon reference... so I kicked it up a few notches for them, and put this whole thing together. (She wanted a Pokemon reference in it somewhere, so I added Professor oak at the beginning as if you booted up a Pokemon game. Then it goes to a screen where Lexi wanted the quote "Happy 7th anniversary, Hunter. Love you Mostest!" and she had the kiss emoji at the end, so I made that the background for her. Then it goes to a 3rd page where it shows their picture that an artist drew of them, and I "Gameboyified" it for her, and then cleaned up the garbage pixels in Photoshop, and fixed the people's eyes with manual editing. Then I colored them sepia-toned and added the hearts. The original artwork had their "Est. 10.11.14" date on it, so I slipped that in as well for them. I was ecstatic to make this for them, it's a truly special anniversary present. I can't speak for any other girls, but I'd be absolutely floored if my significant other did something like this for me.
